Silent room

On my first day of college, I’d arrived at the building by bus not knowing a single other person there. We were all shuttled to the upstairs break room where we all just sat in silence for a solid 10 minutes before somebody recognised another student from a previous school and with that the silence was broken and everybody began chatting amongst themselves.
